EMBA participants can broaden their international exposure by choosing one Major in which they will have the opportunity to interact with members of their cohort from other locations
Over 100 participants from all five EMBA locations networked in Paris with classmates, deepening their expertise in the services, energy and aerospace industries.
The HEC Paris Executive MBA offers senior managers and executives a world-class education in management in five locations around the world (Paris, Doha, Saint Petersburg, Shanghai and Beijing).
“The Majors complement a comprehensive core business curriculum with a choice of international specializations” explains Executive MBA Academic Director Frédéric Dalsace.
Irrespective of the location in which they begin, participants can broaden their international exposure by choosing a specific Major to specialize in: Entrepreneurship & Innovation (Paris/USA or China), Services: Differentiation and Innovation, (USA/Paris), Reinventing Business for Emerging Markets (India and South Africa), Global Business Perspectives(Brazil/China), Aerospace & Aviation, (Montreal and Paris/Toulouse), Energy(Doha and Paris) and Luxury ( Paris and Milan) and Digital & Telecom Business.
Participants travel to the Majors' locations, giving them the opportunity to interact with members of other cohorts. These Majors also provide participants exposure to different cultural backgrounds within varying regional managerial contexts.

For the participants, the Majors provide opportunities both to broaden their professional scope and to widen their international network.
“The Major represents a key point of my EMBA experience. My motto is : take care of your employees, colleagues and customers!” , José Moragues, VP Information Systems HR and Payroll, Accor, HEC EMBA in Paris.
“Working in a service industry, I strongly believe now that one of the best ways to do well is through the quality of our service and the way we position this in the organization…“, Dr Hassan Bakhamees, CEO King Abdullah Medical City, HEC EMBA in Doha.
“It focuses on current matters and perspectives about aviation. And it is tremendously helpful to understand the challenges for the aerospace industry”, Alexander Jabenko, Marketing Director, Boeing, HEC EMBA in St Petersburg.
The Services Major covered a variety of topics:
Participants of this major witnessed first hand how major energy source -- a nuclear plant-- works. Senior level experts from leading energy companies provided overviews of their corporate processes.
Dominate actors from the Aerospace industry shared their confidential strategic business models and corporate prospectives on current market trends. In addition, participants had privileged access to visit the A380 Final Assembly Line and to meet experts from the AirBusiness Academy.
The week long visit in Paris strengthened among the HEC EMBA locations. Most of all, it provided an opportunity for the participants to make new friends.
