The HEC Paris Executive MBA: a passport to the world

Our aim is to make the HEC Paris Executive MBA program even more international by leveraging the benefits of our five locations

International mobility for Executive MBA participants

The mobility option transforms an already international Executive MBA program into one with an even greater global scope. Today, the program features the same curriculum no matter which track participants choose; Paris, Shanghai, Beijing, St. Petersburg or Doha. Participants can work with their program manager to customize a cycle with modules in one, two, three or more locations around the world. No restrictions apply, as long as the modules fit into the academic calendars concerned.

Our aim is to make the HEC Paris Executive MBA program even more international by leveraging the benefits of our five locations ” explains Marina Kundu, HEC Paris Executive MBA Program Director.  “While content is identical, the same concept applied in another region can be very different, which certainly changes the nature of classroom discussions!

Enhancing mobility, expanding networks

The mobility option adds to the HEC Paris Executive MBA’s wealth of international opportunities. Participants can also choose majors, which enable them to specialize in a key business topic over the course of two-week seminars held all over the world.
One of the many benefits of the mobility option is exposing participants to other classmates from different regions so that their network instantly becomes larger,” explains Kundu. “It also enables them to reunite with contacts from their major ”.

Same curriculum, different perspectives

In 2011, approximately 20% of Executive MBA participants took advantage of the international mobility option,a success rate that is expected to grow exponentially in 2012. Shanghai has been a particularly popular location, as well as Doha (Qatar).
Yann Triffe, a participant in the Shanghai Modular Executive MBA track, has taken modules in Paris and will soon embark to Doha. “I chose HEC because of its international brand recognition. International Mobility within the Executive MBA program is unique to HEC Paris,”  he says. "What I appreciate the most is the opportunity to attend a module in another location. It represents a great chance to add more value to the EMBA by discovering new horizons and expanding your network... The uniqueness of the location and its people that enhances the curriculum”.

Chandra Vishnubatla, an Executive MBA participant in the Doha track, agrees: “In Shanghai, I really appreciated meeting participants from other countries and cultures, which helped the group apply and interpret business concepts in different ways. The experience was so enriching that I’m taking another module in St. Petersburg this year”.
