Invitation, Spring Corporate Finance Conference, May 19-20

HEC Paris and Université Paris-Dauphine are organizing the Third Paris Spring Corporate Finance Conference under the sponsorship of FBF, the French Banking Association. The conference will be held on May 19-20, 2011 at the headquarters of the FBF in downtown Paris.

Speakers

Edith Ginglinger, Ulrich Hege, and Bill Megginson are the conference co-chairs.
Franklin Allen (Wharton) has agreed to participate as a keynote speaker.

Topics

This conference will cover a wide range of topics in the area of corporate finance that include credit supply, listing decisions, innovation, investment policy, M&A and corporate aspects of the financial crisis and financial regulation.

We received more than 300 submitted papers, and the program of only 13 presented papers was selected by a highly prestigious program committee. The conference program with downloadable versions of the papers presented is online here. The registration for the conference is open to interested academics and practitioners.
The conference will be preceded by a one-day Ph.D. workshop on May 18, comprised of two three-hour lectures. The workshop program is online here. PhD students with an interest in corporate finance are invited to apply, but attendance to the workshop is open to selected PhD students only.

Financial executive education programs

HEC Executive Education offers financial executive education programs such as Creating Value through Strategic Financial Management taught in France and Doha ( Leading in Challenging Times, Managing Strategic Finance for Value Creation), especially for experienced managers from non-financial backgrounds.
