HEC Paris in Qatar kicks off its second EMBA intake

HEC Paris has announced the launch of its 2013 Executive MBA (EMBA) program in Qatar. This program is the only international Executive MBA (EMBA) in Qatar.

More than 100 people attended the welcoming reception on February 11, 2012 for the incoming class, including H.E. Jean-Christophe Peaucelle, French Ambassador to Qatar, and Soud Abdulaziz Al-Tamimi, Executive Director, Project Management Office, Hamad Bin Khalifa University.

The only EMBA offered in the country

HEC Paris is the only institution of higher education offering an  international EMBA qualification in the region. Over the 18-month duration of the program, the 44 participants in this class have a choice of six majors to specialize in: Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Services,  Global Business Perspectives, Aerospace & Aviation, Energy, Luxury.

The HEC EMBA program is made up of a total of fifteen 4-day modules with the option to take one of the modules outside of Qatar such as in Russia, China and France.

With a 130-year history of excellence, HEC Paris is ranked by the UK’s Financial Times media group as the world’s number one executive education establishment in the world. In June 2010, HEC Paris joined Qatar Foundation the first European Partner in Education City and the first member of the Qatar Foundation Management and Education Research Center.

The Al Sharq gathering followed the kick off of the EMBA’s first module, “Fundamentals of Leadership ”. During the event, the EMBA participants had the opportunity to connect with faculty and staff of HEC Paris, as well as the larger HEC community in Qatar. This included participants from the current EMBA class and other HEC executive programs, Qatar Foundation representatives and senior executives from various industries in the country.

Portfolio of management programs

In addition to the EMBA degree program, HEC Paris in Qatar also offers a full range of executive management programs, including Open Enrolment Programs for mid-level and senior executives and Custom Programs tailored to companies’ needs.  The HEC Paris programs in Qatar offer a unique opportunity for Qatar and Gulf region based managers and executives to enhance their management skills and train the business leaders of tomorrow.
