What is your educational background?

Wayne Wang : Prior to attending HEC Paris, I graduated from Fudan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, and earned a Master of Science degree in both Computer Engineering and Statistics from the University of Iowa. Most recently, I completed the HEC Paris Executive MBA, and am very pleased with the results.

Could you briefly describe your business background?

WW:  I was a general partner of the Private Equity Investment Fund based in the United States and China, as well as an executive member of SSF. I also served as chairman of the EuroCham Human Resources committee. Today, I manage CDP Group Ltd., the leading one-stop HR outsourcing provider in Asia and Greater China, providing professional services in more than 130 cities.

What helps make you successful in the Asian business environment?

WW:  Without a doubt, I think it’s important to think globally. Many Chinese executives need to adopt a more global approach in their thinking and strategies. In fact, this international perspective was common to each of the three award recipients.

What did you appreciate most about the HEC Paris Executive MBA program?

WW:  The HEC Paris Executive MBA program was a positive experience for a number of reasons. The program’s emphasis on strategic, financial and human resources management was directly applicable to my daily business. Furthermore, it has been an honor to work with the program’s top-notch faculty members and alumni, in addition to my classmates. These people come from all over the world and their diverse backgrounds brought a lot to the program.

How will this experience at HEC Paris help you as an entrepreneur?

WW:  The knowledge I acquired through the HEC Paris Executive MBA program has provided a solid framework for my accumulated business experience. I have expanded my business knowledge with cutting-edge theories and practices and am now better equipped to analyze my work from a fresh perspective. There is no doubt that this experience has been good for business!
