HEC Paris in Qatar delivers three main forms of management education in Doha; degree programs, short open enrolment courses and programs that are custom-designed for individual corporate clients.
HEC Paris in Qatar’s programs and research activities build corporate competitiveness within the global economy and are fully aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030 to support the transformation of Qatar into an advanced, competitive and knowledge-based economy.
The 75 people who enrolled in our first two Executive MBA classes are leaders from across Qatar’s private and public sector, including representatives of most of the major oil and gas companies, banks and government ministries. Almost half of the participants have been Qatari nationals. Along with Qatari nationals and expatriates living in Qatar, we have welcomed participants from adjacent countries such as Saudi Arabia and the Emirates, but also from as far as India and Pakistan. Our vision of a “hub” for the Middle East has materialised!
Qatar Foundation has also created special funds to create management research in the region and to write business case studies.
On 4 October we have launched a “Distinguished Lecture Series ” with the first focus on China “China’s Changing Model and Its Impact on the Rest of the World ”, presented by Professor Jacques Gravereau.
A second Knowledge Lab will be held in November. Its ambition is to provide a platform for senior HR and L&D executives in Qatar to network and learn from each other through a series of lectures and workshops led by local and international experts. The intent is to create a knowledge community that will contribute to the advancement of talent development for organizations in Qatar and in the region.
We are currently the only executive education providers in Qatar and have already become a leader in the region. In the space of 2 years we have trained almost 200 participants in our EMBA, open and custom programs.
In the spring we will be adding a Master degree program ( Specialized Master in Strategic Business Unit Management) which will target middle management.
With a multi-national team of 19 staff, HEC Paris in Qatar is seizing opportunities in this fast-growing economy.
