The admission process

Interviewers and assessors are looking for evidence of your personal motivation and aptitude, as well as a clear sense of how earning an Executive MBA (Executive Master in Business Administration)  at HEC Paris will help you achieve your personal and professional goals.

Admission to the program is granted on a rolling basis. We advise you to submit your application early to increase your chances of admission to this highly selective program.

Selection criteria

• Rich and substantial professional experience (at least eight years)   
• Track record of ability to influence your company's strategic decisions   
• International experience   
• Concrete ambition to add to your managerial responsibilities 
• Your professional and personal goals as well as their coherency with the HEC Executive MBA program.

Three steps

1.  Preliminary information interview

Each candidate will meet a Program Advisor to discuss your profile and professional project.

If you are considering applying this year or if you wish to verify that your profile is adapted to the program, we strongly recommend that you complete a preliminary information form.

Our admissions team will provide you with preliminary feedback on your suitability and invite you to submit a formal application if they find you eligible.

To get a flavor of the program, participate in the next information session. Here, you will meet members of the academic team, alumni and current participants who will help you to better understand the admission process and the program.

2. Online application form

The application file is available online and includes:

• Personal essays,
• Curriculum vitae,
• Your company's organizational chart,
• Two letters of reference,
• University transcripts,
• English Language Exam (TOEIC, TOEFL or IELTS)

3. Selection process

Selection committee interview with subsequent a recommendation to the Admissions Jury. The interview is made up of: 

• HEC Paris general management test or GMAT,
• Presentation of strategic recommandations and Q&A (20 minutes),
• Interview,
• Presentation of the candidate’s professional goals,
• Contribution the candidate will make to the program and to his/her graduating class.

Final review and decision by the Admissions Jury.

Funding your Executive MBA

HEC Paris has negotiated a special loan schedule with the BNP Paribas for HEC Paris Executive MBA participants.

Scholarship Scheme

Two scholarships worth from 10% to 50% of tuition fees are available in 2011 for individuals working in Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs).
