Locations and academic partners

2 one-week sessions: Paris, France (May) and San Francisco, USA (October)

To launch a new venture or take over an existing one, it is vital to master the Management fundamentals that are taught in the core courses (especially Marketing, Strategy, HR and Finance). Even if Entrepreneurship is in essence cross disciplinary, a lot of specific knowledge needs to be acquired in order to become a successful Entrepreneur.

The goal of this Major/Advanced Certificate is to help participants to:

  • decide on their future activity
  • allow them to assess the robustness of their projects
  • help them move forward with the next step.

Two entrepreneurial opportunities, offered by the HEC Community, will also be presented: the HEC Incubator and the HEC Alumni Entrepreneurship Groups.

The Major is structured around two week-long intensive sessions.

Teaching methods include case discussion and analysis, sharing experience, team work and academic courses. These will enable participants to develop a better understanding of the prerequisites for launching new business ventures, taking over existing ones and the drivers of successful entrepreneurship.

This Major will provide the necessary concepts and tools for a broad range of start-ups (including digital, high-tech and service innovation).

Module 1 - Paris, France
