Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Drive innovation and enhance entrepreunarial leadership

Target Audience

Innovation and entrepreneurship need to be managed very carefully within organizations. This unique HEC Paris program is aimed at executives seeking to develop new business ventures and discover best practices for stimulating innovation.

Locations and academic partners

  • Two one-week sessions: Paris, France (May), Boston, USA (October)
European and American perspectives. Two intakes available.
    Academic partner:  Babson College

Context

Innovation and entrepreneurship have become essential drivers of growth and the main sources of value and wealth creation. They need to be managed very carefully and with the same degree of rationalization and commitment as other business functions within organizations. Managing them effectively, however, also requires striking a greater balance between creativity, divergence, freedom, flexibility, emergent ideas, processes, optimization, and convergence. In periods of economic crisis they generate new ideas and business processes that play a crucial role in renewing and stimulating both products and markets.

Successful entrepreneurial and innovation projects not only require strong management and leadership skills but also the ability to pioneer change and overcome the fear of taking risks. Through case discussion and analysis, sharing experience, and team work, participants acquire an in-depth understanding of the prerequisites for both launching and sustaining new businesses. They will also develop the skills and know-how to successfully manage entrepreneurial and innovation projects in both established companies and new business ventures.
