Executive Education

EMBA Faculty and learning methods

A world-class faculty combined with real-world training in action

An innovative and hands-on learning approach

Real-life business situations: In addition to the teaching of cutting-edge theory, the program actively draws on the case-study method as the most effective way to critically analyze real-life business situations and bring to light challenging management issues.

Team work as an executive committee: Team work is a fundamental aspect of the teaching methodology. It enables participants to share professional experiences with their peers and to learn how to prioritize and deliver their assignments collectively. Each team acts as an executive committee and is therefore composed of participants with different profiles and professional backgrounds.

The program is specifically designed to encourage work in small groups in order to facilitate the sharing of experience among participants and to enhance collaborative and team management skills.

Capstone project, practical application: During the program, you will carry out rigorous written analyses of cases faced by real-life companies, either as a team or individually. This will allow you to immediately apply everything that you have learnt in the classroom. You can tailor  the Capstone Project to a topic of your choice.

The project is also presented to a jury with a question and answer session in order to simulate a boardroom setting.

Guest speaker lectures and conferences: Business leaders from a wide range of industries and functions are invited to share their experiences through lectures, exchange and debate with participants.

Online learning/Extranet site: Distance learning facilities, online resources and the HEC Paris Mediatheque, can be accessed from the HEC Paris library (Campus – Jouy en Josas) or the Media Center (Porte de Champerret – Paris). They offer you the opportunity to complete and focus on various aspects of the program.

Academic excellence

The Academic Board of the HEC Paris Executive MBA guarantees the academic rigor and excellence of the program. It is headed by the Executive MBA Academic Director, Professor Frédéric Dalsace, who supervises and manages a team of experienced Academic Coordinators who are present throughout each track. In addition to the Academic Coordinators, each academic subject also has a Course Leader whose key responsibility is to ensure the relevancy, quality and consistency of the course.
