Executive MBA China (Beijing, Shanghai)IntroductionThe HEC Executive MBA China program is offered in both Beijing and Shanghai. It is the only independent Executive MBA program in China run exclusively by a foreign business school. Its mission is to strengthen the technical expertise and leadership skills of executives –both Chinese and non-Chinese - active in the Chinese market in order to stimulate economic development and to facilitate further China’s integration with the world economy. The HEC Executive MBA China program strives to make an important contribution to the Chinese business community during this critical phase of economic and social development by delivering a world-class business-training program to senior managers of state-owned and private-sector enterprises. Delivered by top HEC Paris faculty, this unique program is an intensive course of study focused on themes relevant to executives in China navigating today’s complex global business environment. The Beijing option of the EMBA is offered under the auspices of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC). The SASAC was established according to the State Council Institutional Reform Scheme approved at the First Session of the 10th National People’s Congress of the People's Republic of China. SASAC performs the responsibility as the investor on behalf of the state; supervises and manages the state-owned assets of enterprises according to law; guides and pushes forward the reform and restructuring of state-owned enterprises. SASAC appoints and removes top executives of the enterprises under the supervision of the Central Government, evaluates their performances, and grants them rewards. SASAC also directs and supervises the management work of local state-owned assets. The Shanghai option of the EMBA is offered under the auspices of the National Development and Reform Commission of the State Council (NDRC). The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) is a macroeconomic management agency under the State Council, which studies and formulates policies for economic and social development, maintains a balance of economic aggregates and guides the overall economic system restructuring. The NDRC is at the heart of China’s transition to a socialist market economy, committed to deepening reforms, promoting development and opening China to the outside world. Within the context of increased economic development and reform in China, and in order to increase the competitiveness of Chinese firms in the global economy, the Education and Training Centers of the SASAC and NDRC selected HEC Paris to deliver its HEC Executive MBA China Program. Non-Chinese participants and participants from non-Chinese firms are welcome to apply to the EMBA Program in China, either in Beijing or Shanghai. |
